A NEW MARAUDER is a tribute to Marauder and is dedicated to all VCS2600 fans, collectors and enthusiasts.
Introduced in 1982 by Tigervision and developed by Rorke Weigandt, in several aspects Marauder resembles Berzerk but it was less known at that time. It has loyal fans amongst VCS2600 collectors even though it was considered an obscure game.
At a first glance, one can think of it as an easy game due its logically connected mazes. However, it is very attractive due to the random placement of the rooms whenever the game restarts. Besides, the maze walls do not allow identifying the enemies’ position on the screen and for this reason, Marauder was declared as the first maze game to have a realistic perspective.
A NEW MARAUDER is a tribute to Marauder and is dedicated to all VCS2600 fans. Redesigned with the purpose of highlighting the characteristics of a shooting game and the use of strategy to solve mazes, Marauder recreates the classic spirit of action and adventure games. It was reformulated to make time as an enemy thus reinforcing the task to accomplish a mission.
